Annapolis has a thriving community theatre scene which includes two venues in the historic district. Mooring balls and water taxi services make it an easy place to visit by water. Annapolis is surrounded by the South River and Severn River which both feed into the Chesapeake Bay.
Schools
Annapolis is served by the Anne Arundel County School system and has nine elementary and three secondary public schools; there are also excellent private schools within the community. Annapolis also has two private schools and one parochial school. Post-secondary education is available at St. John's College, Anne Arundel Community College, and the United States Naval Academy.
